Parks
The City of Myrtle Point has four parks. The map below shows the park locations as well as several other nearby amenities.
LEHNHERR PARK is Myrtle Point’s oldest City park. The land for the park was donated by community founder Christian Lehnherr. The park is located on Spruce Street at the westerly end of the downtown commercial district. The park occupies one city block and includes a lawn area, a number of mature trees and a skateboard park, constructed in 2001.
LIONS MEMORIAL PARK is located on Maple Street east of Highway 42, between 18th and 23rd Streets. It is a moderately sized park, with much of its area dedicated to a softball field complete with dugouts, backstop, bleachers, and a scoreboard. Lions Park includes a 13 space parking lot and a fenced area with play equipment. Many neighborhood residents utilize the park as an unofficial dog park.
ROTARY PARK is located along C Street between Harris and Doborout Streets, near Highway 42. It is the most diverse and most frequented park in Myrtle Point. It is centrally located, nearly equal distance from Myrtle Crest Elementary School and Myrtle Point Junior/Senior High School. Rotary Park features a recently updated play structure for the 5-12 year old age group, tennis courts, pickle ball court, horseshoe pits, a gazebo and a covered picnic area.
SUNSET PARK is Myrtle Point’s smallest city park, located along Sunset Lane easterly of Highway 42 at Sunset Court. The park was recently updated with a half-court basketball court. Some additional improvements are planned.
